What attendees had to say about the 2017 conference:

"This is a great conference that is well attended and the presentations are very pertinent to our business. There was good mix of theory, practical application, leading edge development, and lesson learned...a lot available for any person working in and around Protection and Control."

"Very well organized and attended conference, high level industry development coverage, excellent opportunity to meet professional peers."

"The biggest relay conference in North America, if you can attend only one, WPRC is the one"

"Best conference in the industry. Although the conference is in October, many consider it to be the first' conference of the year, where vendors release new ideas and new technology."

The 2017 program was tailored to bring you the latest technologies in power system protection and the experience from their recent applications in the field. The papers covered everything from the new communications technologies and standards to the latest application of traveling waves. The applications covered everything from the traditional generation, transmission and distribution to the new developments of distributed generation and microgrids. As the electric power grid is rapidly changing, WPRC aims to bring you the latest in how the engineering of protection is adapting to the new environment.

At the 2017 event 47 exhibitors shared their ideas, expertise and the latest technologies in the protective relay industry. Some of our exhibitors offered pre-conference workshops, so talk to your vendors and consultants to see if they are attending WPRC 2018 and offering pre-conference programs.
