The small form factor GVC1000 combines state of the art NVIDIA® Tegra GPU technology with leading edge I/O to deliver unprecedented levels of capability to the low SWaP rugged marketplace.

Target applications for the GVC1000 include vision computing with video ingest from multiple Ethernet cameras over the two 10GbE ports. Example applications include embedded training, 360° situational awareness or advanced digital maps, image processing and compression (with NVIDIA software tools). The GVC1000 is particularly suitable for these types of applications for ground vehicles as it provides two MilCAN / CANBus ports for vehicular data.

Additionally, for data-intensive applications, this 256-core CUDA™-capable Pascal class GPU opens up a broad range of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) applications. These include wide-area persistent surveillance, hyperspectral sensor fusion, IED detection, synthetic aperture radar processing, and many more.

The GVC1000 benefits from a modular design meaning its key technology base can be easily upgraded to next generation form, fit and function plug-ins when available keeping the GVC1000 at the leading edge.

Based on the recently-released NVIDIA® Jetson™ TX2 supercomputer on a module with 256 CUDA cores at 1.3GHz, dual Denver 2/2MB L2 and quad ARM A57/2MB L2 (up to 2 GHz) CPU cores, the GVC1000 delivers 1+ TeraFLOPS of performance.

This is backed up by 8GB LPDDR4 capable of 59.7GB/s and 32GB eMMC together with a multitude of interfaces configured with supporting peripherals on the GVC1000.

The GVC1000 makes the most of the TX2’s functionality and performance by combining it with a leading-edge I/O-rich host card, and packages it in a low SWaP form factor designed to be deployed in the harshest environments.

To enable rapid application development and deployment, the GVC1000 is code compatible with desktop environments such as CUDA and MATLAB®, allowing easy porting of applications and algorithms onto the deployable platform.

Storage can be provided by the on-board SATA SSD, which features a capacity of up to 32 GBytes of SLC storage or 128 GBytes of MLC storage.

The GVC1000 design provides both baseplate cooling for when a suitable cold plate is available and natural convection-assisted cooling by means of integral fins.
