The Model AR-20B is a portable, lightweight, fully automatic band-switching RF booster amplifier for use with multi-band VHF/UHF Tactical Radio equipment employing legacy, proprietary and networking waveforms. The AR-20B produces 20 Watts from a 1 to 2 Watt PEP radio input and covers the frequency band of 30-512 MHz. The unit has a wide range input DC voltage allowing operation from a single battery (XX90 battery) or 12 and 28 VDC vehicle power sources.
It also includes Over Temperature Protection, RF sensing, T/R Switching, Automatic Level Control (ALC), Harmonic Filters, Co-Site filters and protection against antenna mismatch. The amplifier is comprised of a rugged 4-piece aluminum case. The AR-20B is the simpler version of the 20W family without an LNA and power select (contact AR Modular RF for the unit with the LNA feature). Optional interface coaxial cables, DC battery cables, and kits for man-packing the amplifier are available.

The unit is designed for use with the FSK and other latest modern networking formats like ANW2C and SRW. It also includes Voltage Spike Suppression, Over Temperature Protection, RF sensing T/R Switching, Harmonic Filters, Co-Site Filtering, lightning protection, and protection against antenna mismatch
The Model AR-20EP is a portable, lightweight, fully automatic band-switching RF booster amplifier for the EPLRS Tactical Radio employing legacy, proprietary, and emerging waveforms. The AR-20EP produces 20 Watts from 2 Watts typical CW/PEP radio input and covers the frequency range of 225-450 MHz. The unit has a wide input DC voltage range and can operate from 12 to 35.5 VDC. It also includes Voltage Spike Suppression, Over Temperature Protection, RF sensing, T/R Switching, Harmonic Filters, and protection against antenna mismatch. The AR-20EP has a 4dB NF and a 12dB gain switchable LNA in the receive loop. The amplifier is comprised of rugged 4-piece aluminum case.

The unit is designed for use with the latest modern networking formats including ANW2C and SRW. The AR-20H also includes voltage spike suppression, over temperature protection, RF sensing T/R switching, harmonic filters, lightning protection, and protection against antenna mismatch. The AR-20H has a typical 4dB Noise figure and approximately 6dB gain Low Noise Amplifier in the receive path. The AR-20H was tested to meet specific portions of MIL-STD-461F, MIL-STD-464C, MIL-STD-704F MIL-STD-810G and RTCA/DO-160G. The amplifier is comprised of rugged 4-piece aluminum case.
