MVG - EMC Dual Ridge Horn Antenna (EH118) 1000 MHz - 18000 MHz
The EH118 EMC Horn combines stable gain performance and low VSWR with wide band frequency operation. The horn is single linearly polarized with excellent cross-polar discrimination. The unique horn design suppresses any possible excitation of higher order modes in the aperture and maintains a well-defined smooth radiation pattern in the direction of the boresight axis throughout the operational bandwidth.

Shielded, coaxial opens are used in the calibration of vector network analyzers to provide a nominal 180° phase offset from a compatible reference short over a wide range of frequencies. At these frequencies, open circuit terminations are inherently imperfect. Shielding the open essentially eliminates radiation loss, but creates a residual frequency-sensitive capacitance. An accurate knowledge of the open’s effective capacitance is essential to an accurate calibration of the analyzer. Maury opens are characterized for effective capacitance versus frequency by means of a fourth order polynomial curve fit, and the nominal capacitance coefficients are provided with each unit.
The latching / bi-stable (1 Form E) reed switch is a magnetically operated switch designed for ultra-low power applications, particularly in battery-powered and energy-sensitive systems. Unlike traditional reed switches, this bistable variant maintains its contact state, either open or closed, without continuous power, thanks to its dual-magnet latching mechanism.
The switch operates by using two permanent magnets: one partially magnetized to bring the contacts near each other, and a second magnet that controls the contact state by reversing its magnetic field. This design allows the switch to remain in either the normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) state until actively changed, making it ideal for applications requiring stable switching with minimal energy consumption.
The TEM horn antenna is an antenna used for conducting close proximity radiation immunity evaluation test (near electromagnetic field immunity test) of electromagnetic waves radiated from various wireless transmitters such as mobile devices.
In the future, close proximity radiation immunity evaluation test using the TEM horn antenna is expected to expand to various product standards such as medical equipment (IEC 60601-1-2) and multimedia equipment (CISPR 35).NoiseKen's TEM horn antenna has a wide band, low VSWR, and wide electric field uniformity offering an ideal solution for an efficient close proximity radiation immunity test.
- A TEM horn antenna compliant with IEC 61000-4-39 Ed.1.
- Test without changing the antenna in the frequency range of 380MHz to 6GHz.
- Low VSWR and high GAIN enable efficient electromagnetic wave radiation.
- Wide field uniformity reduces the number of times of movement of the antenna when radiating the EUT.
- Since the maximum point of the near electric field distribution for each frequency is at the center, enables radiation on the EUT based on the axis of the antenna. Hence, significantly simplifies test point alignment.
ULTRA UH series polypropylene based hybrid electromagnetic EMC absorbers are the latest technology for EMC/RF test applications.
The polypropylene material has a highly uniform carbon density throughout the material, which provides for more predictable results with no discontinuities.
Its unique technology is a critical factor in achieving the highest electromagnetic reflectivity performance in an MVG EMC anechoic chamber.
The TBST line of shielded tents is designed to suppress interference from ambient noise when carrying out EMC pre-compliance measurements with sizes of 200 cm x 100 cm x 100 cm, 124 cm x 64 cm x 60 cm or 86 cm x 48 cm x 48 cm. The 200 cm and 124 cm tent can accommodate any Tekbox pre-compliance test equipment such as LISNs or TEM-cells. The 86 cm tent will fit the TBTC0/1/2 and all our LISN.
The EH1840 EMC horn combines stable gain performance and low VSWR with wide band frequency operation. The horn is single linearly polarized with excellent cross-polar discrimination. The unique horn design suppresses any possible excitation of higher order modes in the aperture and maintains a well-defined smooth radiation pattern in the direction of the boresight axis throughout the operational bandwidth.
