Environmental Facts of the CUPRITE lenses

Our CUPRITE SWIR lenses are tested to DIN standards to ensure they meet stringent environmental requirements. These tests check the durability of the SWIR lenses, their resistance to temperature changes and their ability to withstand shock tests and sinusoidal vibration. This ensures that the industrial lenses are up to the task in demanding industrial applications such as solar cell inspection or food sorting, providing consistent performance and reliability over time.

Schneider Optics

Schneider Optics, Inc. is the American subsidiary of the Schneider-Kreuznach Group.
They manufacture professional quality optics designed and produced with materials and workmanship that minimize or eliminate image degradation.  Founded in Bad Kreuznach in 1913, the entire group has over 110 years of experience in the still and motion imaging industry.

Applications in industry include optical inspection and 3D measurement, optical systems, lenses, filters and components, e.g. for traffic monitoring, seeing robots, medical technology and quality inspections such as crash tests. The company is also a partner of NASA: since the 1960s, industrial lenses from Schneider-Kreuznach have repeatedly been used on space missions, including a rocket flight to the James Webb Space Telescope in 2021.

Schneider-Kreuznach is also a partner to the film industry, offering a wide range of products from recording lenses to effect filters. For products in the field of cinema projection, they have been awarded the "Scientific and Technical Award", the technology Oscar, several times. Professional and ambitious amateur photographers also work with high-end lenses and accessories from Schneider-Kreuznach. B+W brand photographic filters are established as premium products in the trade worldwide.
