Xena Networks - Xena3918 Windows Desktop Application
Xena3918 provides an easy-to-use port configuration panel that lets you add and remove ports, and assign IP addresses and port roles. Ports from multiple XenaBay and XenaCompact chassis can be freely mixed.
- Makes it easy to create, edit and execute all test-types specified in RFC 3918
- Support for IPv4 and IPv6
- Multiple protocols supported per UNI (Ethernet, Customer and Service VLANs, MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, and UDP)
- Support for all IGMP/MLD versions
- Works seamlessly with multiple XenaBay and XenaCompact test chassis
- Ability to flexibly define protocol layers supported by the test incl. Ethernet VLANs, IP and UDP
- Extensive configuration options for fine-tuning tests
The tests can be performed using various frame sizes, either as in-test variations or as multiple test runs each using a fixed frame size.
The multicast traffic can be configured to use the exact protocol headers needed. All fields in the protocol headers can be modified. The unicast traffic for mixed class and burdening tests can be specified separately in a similar fashion.

Odin might be the god of war in Nordic mythology, but in the world of Ethernet testing, Z10 Odin is a key part of Xena’s Ethernet Traffic Generator solution.
Odin can test Ethernet devices at 6 speeds up to 10Gbps – 10/100/1000M and 2.5/5/10G.
The Xena Traffic Generator platform includes Z100 Loki (NRZ testing 10G to 100G), Z400 Thor (NRZ testing 10 to 100G and PAM4 testing 50G to 400G), and Z800 Freya (10G NRZ to 800G PAM4) and in the future also 1.6 Terabits.
Most of us know Z400 as the Nordic god of thunder and lightning. But in the world of Ethernet testing world, Thor plays a starring role in Xena’s Ethernet Traffic Generation solutions.
Thor boasts some truly heroic features – like being able to test both NRZ and PAM4 speeds. For NRZ based Ethernet at data rates of 10G / 25G / 40G / 50G and 100G. And for PAM4 based Ethernet at data rates of 50G / 100G / 200G / 400G. It can also test Auto-Negotiation and Link Training (AN/LT).
In the Xena line we also have Z10 Odin (NRZ testing 10Mbps to 10G), Z100 Loki (NRZ testing 10G to 100G), and Z800 Freya (10G PAM4 to 800G PAM4) and in the future also 1.6 Terabits.
Focus Microwaves provides modular microstrip, high-power, and ultra-low-loss coaxial fixtures designed for load pull testing of packaged transistors. Equipped with TRL calibration standards, these fixtures support transistor packages from under 0.1” to 1” wide. Special features include decade-wide Klopfenstein transformers (Fmax:Fmin ~10:1), water- and air-cooling options, and on-substrate bias networks. Microstrip fixtures (PTJ-x*) offer 50Ω lines, λ/4 or taper transformers, harmonic traps, and DC bias networks, while Minimum Loss coaxial Test Fixtures (MLTF-x*) feature low insertion loss (< 0.03 dB at 2 GHz) with connectors including 7mm, N, and 7/16, spanning up to 18 GHz. Both types support water cooling for RF power up to several hundred Watts.
Xena2544 offers full support for the 4 test-types specified in RFC2544, and also lets you partially enable one or more test types. Xena2544 supports different network topologies and traffic flow directions on both Layer 2 and Layer 3, as well as both IPv4 and IPv6.
XenaManager is used to configure and generate streams of Ethernet traffic between Xena test equipment and Devices Under Test (DUTs) at all speeds up to 800Gbps, and analyze the results. It can also be used to add various forms of impairment up to 100Gbps when using the Chimera network emulator.
The user-friendly interface makes XenaManager an effective tool for performing a wide range of core test scenarios for semiconductor & Network Equipment Manufacturers (NEMs), network service providers, and hyperscalers.
