How Do I Make an XY Display on an Oscilloscope?

Oscilloscopes commonly provide X vs. Y (XY) displays of two different signals to provide a more complete picture of the circuit or system operation. For instance, the safe operating area (SOA) analysis of a power supply requires viewing current vs. voltage data to under power delivery.

In this coffee break webinar, we will provide typical examples of XY plots and how they are created.

Topics to be covered in this webinar:

  • What is an XY display or plot?
  • Time correlating information on an XY display to the original acquisition data
  • Safe Operating Area (SOA) power supply example
  • Speed vs. Torque example
