This unique dual-axis positioner is particularly suited for testing direction-sensing antennas. The virtual elevation axis enables rotation of the DUT around its phase center, placing the mechanical support system invariably behind the DUT. This feature maintains the center of the DUT in one place, while eliminating scattering and interference from the positioning structure.

The MVG-Orbit/FR performance series has recently been expanded to include the AL-428X series of medium-duty, two axes positioners. Thanks to their low profile design and advanced drive mechanism, these symmetrical EL/AZ positioners ensure accurate, balanced rotation, and controllable velocity.

Typically, the unit includes the main body, precise slew bearings, DC motors, gear reducers, encoder and limit switch assemblies. This compact EMC Chamber with a 3 meter test range will settle into test areas of limited space while continuing to produce exceptional performance for EMC measurement. Emission test volumes of up to 1.5m are accommodated with very repeatable results. Suitable for EMC pre-compliance emissions and EMC compliance immunity testing.

The LCU AL-4189 - Local Control Unit is a hand-held control box specifically designed and built to be used in conjunction with ORBIT/FR controllers and PCU’s. It provides the attendant (operator, serviceman etc.) with a high degree of flexibility in operating the system elements.

A Semi Anechoic EMC Chamber with 3-meter test range ensuring EMC compliance for Emission and Immunity testing. Ferrite and hybrid pyramidal EMC absorbers are combined in a unique pattern within a SmartShield high performance chamber. Operating at a 3m test distance, this chamber is compliant to ANSI C63.4/CISPR-16-1-4 with a Test Volume diameter of 1 to 2 meters.

The MVG-Orbit/FR Legacy Series AZ/EL/AZ Positioners provide accurate, balanced rotation, and controllable velocity. Their rugged yet straight-forward construction ensures maximum reliability and trouble-free operation, yielding the best size and weight/performance ratio. These positioners support vertical loads up to 50,000 lbs (20,680 kg).
