Built to Southwest Microwave’s rigorous performance and quality standards, the 1.0mm connectors are rugged and durable, featuring a 360° raised grounding ring and operational temperature rating of -55°C to +165°C. 1.0mm connectors provide mode-free operation through 110 GHz, offering well-matched impedance, excellent repeatability, and the industry’s lowest VSWR (1.2:1), insertion loss (0.6 dB), and RF leakage (≤ -100 dB).

Noise measurements allow the determination of the four Noise Parameters of a device (transistor). Focus’ Noise Modules integrate well with various third party noise receivers.
Noise Parameters: These are four numbers that fully describe the noise behaviour of an active or passive device (twoport) at a given frequency. For practical reasons we use the following quantities as Noise Parameters:
Focus’ noise parameter extraction routines leverage the PNA-X’s unique implementation

A RF down conversion stage might be required if the frequency of noise measured exceeds the receiver’s bandwidth. Focus offers noise modules which support down conversion for optimal speed and performance.
With the ProBus interface, the ZD500, 1000, and 1500 becomes an integral part of the oscilloscope. All probe gain and offset controls are transparent to the user, making it easier to probe the circuit without concern for which gain setting to choose. When used with a LeCroy digital oscilloscope, no external power supply is required.
