Xena Networks - Xena B720/2400 High-port Density Chassis with space for up to 12 Xena Traffic Generators in a 4U Form Factor
There are 2 versions of the Xena chassis: the standard B720 and the high-performance B2400. Both versions consist of a 4U modular chassis that can be equipped with up to 12 Xena Ethernet test modules to provide high port density and low power consumption.
One Xena B2400 can hold up to:
- 6 x 800Gbps ports using Z800 Freya
- 12 x 400Gbps ports using Z800 Freya
- 24 x 200Gbps ports using Z800 Freya
- 40 x 100Gbps ports using Z800 Freya
- 12 x 400Gbps ports using Z400qx Thor
- 36 x 100Gbps ports using Z100 Loki
- 36 x 50Gbps ports using Z100 Loki
- 36 x 40Gbps ports using Z100 Loki
- 72 x 25Gbps ports using Z100 Loki
- 72 x 10Gbps ports using Z100 Loki
- 72 x 5Gbps copper ports using Z10 Odin
- 72 x 2.5Gbps copper ports using Z10 Odin
- 72 x 1Gbps copper/optical ports using Z1 Odin
Both versions support multiple configuration options. In the B720 chassis users can make configurations ranging from 10Mbps to 10Gbps with modules from the Odin series, while the B2400 is required for these high-speed traffic generator modules: Z800 Freya, Z400 Thor, and Z100 Loki as well as the Chimera network emulation module: E100 Chimera.
The B2400 gives users maximum flexibility, making it possible to make configurations ranging from 10Mbps to 800Gbps. (The 1.6Tbps Z1608 Edun is only available in the XenaCompact chassis.) Both versions have 12 available slots for test modules, and each module series occupies the following slots in the chassis:
- Z800 Freya 2 slots (2 slot module)
- Z400 Thor 3 slots (2 slot module + 1 slot for mandatory airflow guide) and only 2 slots when using the new Z400qx Thor
- Z100 Loki 1 slot module (max. configuration is 9 modules, in blocks of max. 3 modules).
- E100 Chimera 1 slot module (max. configuration is 9 modules, in blocks of max. 3 modules).
- Z10 Odin 1 slot module
Example: 1 x Z800 Freya (2 slots) + 1 x Z400 Thor (3 slots) + 3 x Z100 Loki (3×1 Slots) + 4 x Z10 Odin (4x1Slot)
