With their radial and flat incoming light, LUMIMAX® LED Dark Field Illuminations are the preferred option for inspecting surfaces. Their special light guide means that this LED Dark Field Illumination geometry can be used to show edges, cavities and other surface defects in high contrast.

The Dark Field Lights in the DFL series are available in several sizes for continuous and strobe mode.

• The I3 and I3S Inline Controllers provide overdrive strobe and continuous operation to lights from a small package when larger, more versatile external controllers are not necessary. 
• Switching between continuous-on, gating on/off and strobe overdrive is seamless. The I3 and I3S employ Ai’s exclusive Adaptive OverdriveTM that optimizes strobe power regardless of input Pulse Width. 
• The I3 is a default-on device on power-up, whereas the I3S is a default-off device, requiring a trigger to illuminate. 
• All ICS models employ reverse input polarity protection. 
• Provides continuous-on and DC gating on/off control as well as 0-10 volt analog dimming. 30 uSec response time. 
• A wash down version of all ICS drivers is provided automatically with any wash down light to which it is attached.

LED Area lights in the LG series are based on our LightGuide technology. State-of-the-art LightGuide technology guarantees the maximum degree of homogeneity and irradiance intensity over the entire light field. The area lights of the LGCB series with a camera hole can also be used as a flat dome within a reflected light application and thus create a full-area, shadow-free illumination of the test object.
