The latching / bi-stable (1 Form E) reed switch is a magnetically operated switch designed for ultra-low power applications, particularly in battery-powered and energy-sensitive systems. Unlike traditional reed switches, this bistable variant maintains its contact state, either open or closed, without continuous power, thanks to its dual-magnet latching mechanism.
The switch operates by using two permanent magnets: one partially magnetized to bring the contacts near each other, and a second magnet that controls the contact state by reversing its magnetic field. This design allows the switch to remain in either the normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) state until actively changed, making it ideal for applications requiring stable switching with minimal energy consumption.

The high voltage reed switch series delivers reliable magnetic switching for applications requiring elevated voltage and current handling. Capable of switching up to 10,000 VDC and with breakdown voltages reaching 15,000 VDC, these switches are engineered for high-performance environments such as photovoltaic systems, medical equipment, and automated test systems.
Available in glass body lengths starting at 14 mm, the series includes surface mount (SMD), through-hole, and free-standing options. These reed switches can carry continuous currents up to 15 Amps and pulsed currents up to 30 Amps, making them ideal for proximity, position, motion, and end-limit sensing.
For enhanced durability and simplified integration, these switches can be packaged as high voltage reed relays. Popular relay series such as H, HE, HM, KT, SHV, LI, and BE provide a range of contact configurations and insulation resistance exceeding 10¹³ Ohms, supporting both pick-and-place automation and high-voltage isolation.

Reliable Break-Before-Make Switching with Form C Reed Technology
Changeover reed switches, also known as Form C or SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switches, feature three contact leads and operate with a break-before-make switching sequence. This means one contact disconnects before the other connects, ensuring clean signal transitions and reducing the risk of short circuits.
Changeover reed switches are ideal for applications requiring reliable switching between two circuits, such as signal routing, sensor feedback, and control logic.
These switches can be integrated into standard sensors and reed relay assemblies, and custom configurations are available to meet specific design requirements.
- SPA available from 70KHz to 20/40/70/110/125/145 and 220GHz. Also available for banded configuration to 1.1THz.
- Dual SPA mode available: suitable for Mixers/Amplifier/ Harmonics /Spurious testing.
- SPA available on all ports. User can define which port to use as SPA port.
- Several detection types available in classical mode: Peak, minimum, RMS, Mean.
- Various math functions can be applied on SPA mode like Min hold/max hold/ user defined equations.
- Sources and receivers can be independently configured. Can be used as Tracking Generator.
- For units that have a dual source, a dual drive option is available. Support for external source control also possible.
- Phase synchronization for units with Dual source available. This feature allows users to control and configure the phase between the two sources.
- Source and receiver attenuator available with VNA can be activated in SPA mode. Recommendation to use option 62 (with attenuator on receiver side) for measuring the spectrum content of high-power devices.
- Software option: easy to install and upgrade existing user equipment.
