Safran DSI - SPARTE e100 Flight Test Antenna based on Electronic Beam Steering Technology
The SPARTE e100 is a hybrid antenna addressing the telemetry applications in S-Band, including hypersonic test articles.
The antenna is a combination of an Electronic Beam Steering supporting any elevation from -5° up to +95° and a single-axis mechanical rotation of the patch panel providing unlimited azimuth. The patch panel’s size enables the SPARTE e100 to achieve telemetry reception performance comparable to that of a 1.2m diameter dual-axis antenna.
This is achieved with a significantly simpler mechanical design, ensuring easier maintenance throughout the antenna’s operational lifespan.
The SPARTE e100’s rapid tracking capabilities, reaching speeds of up to 60°/s in azimuth and virtually infinite in elevation, make it an ideal “lock-on” antenna.

KapCOM (EWC33) is a new generation of transceivers with high performance Telemetry, Tracking & Command (TT&C) service. It is used on OneWeb constellation & is based on the heritage of EWC15 used in key space missions like ROSETTA, DEEP IMPACT, …
The D19-GT/-GTS Download Station ensures a secure and high-speed data download (via 40 Gbit Ethernet) from MDR or MDR-GT/-GTS storage media. Specifically designed for flight testing applications with demanding data rates and storage needs, the D19-GTS, when paired with MDR-GTS, incorporates advanced cybersecurity features like Data-At-Rest (DAR) protection and firmware updates. Configuration changes are facilitated through a Removable Secure Operational Disk (RSOD).
The CORTEX RSR-RF (-40 or -200) stands as a digital recorder that plays a vital role in capturing and reproducing the RF analog signal received by the antenna before any processing occurs.
It’s an essential component in a Telemetry Station, ensuring the utmost availability of crucial data, particularly in cases where on-board recording is not feasible.
Data collected in-flight offers extensive post-processing flexibility. You can fine-tune various settings in the receiver, the bit synchronizer, and the decommutator to maximize the extraction of data, a feat achievable only with RF recording. Furthermore, it serves as an invaluable tool for test range qualification ahead of test flights.
The highly flexible modular GMDR system is a versatile and future-proof solution for acquisition, recording, dissemination and replay of FTI data in ground station applications.
With its high integration, incomparable range of supported video interfaces and full compatibility with global leading MDR products, the GMDR integrates seamlessly into customers‘ existing test range topologies.
With its intelligent data reduction through segmentation, pre-selection and filtering as well as the capability to freely disseminate subsets of data among several network destinations, GMDR efficiently reduces the operator‘s workload when analyzing test results.
For standard PCM/Ch7-Telemetry applications, two simplified, cost-efficient variants with integrated PCM/Ch7-Telemetry signal boards and one Data Express technology (DE50)- compatible storage media slot are available.
The ES9910 Ethernet switch/router, an advanced solution that offers seamlessly integrated, highly flexible, and fully managed LAN/VLAN connectivity for mission-critical systems.
This versatile technology serves onboard operations for both manned and unmanned ground, air, and sea vehicles, empowering them with top-notch networking capabilities.
The ENERTEC™ mission data processing and distribution units offer cost-effective, dependable solutions for acquiring, processing, storing, utilizing, and distributing field and mission data.
These units undergo rigorous validation and formal qualification testing, adhering to standard test methods such as DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 to ensure their reliability and performance.
